Abstract Dasar pemikiran perlunya Total Quality Management TQM adalah cara terbaik agar Perusahaan dapat bersaing dan unggul dalam persaingan global dengan menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas tinggi, diperlukan upaya perbaikan berkesinambungan terhadap kemampuan manusia, proses dan lingkungan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kepuasan konsumen. Untuk mengkaji bagaimana penerapan Total Quality Management TQM dalam produksi ready mix concrete di PT. Igasar, maka dilakukan studi kasus dengan menyebarkan angket kuisioner pada beberapa konsumen, melakukan wawancara kepada staf di unit produksi dan unit yang terkait lainnya serta mengumpulkan data-data tertulis yang telah didokumentasikan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sejauh mana penerapan Total Quality Management TQM pada proses produksi ready mix concrete dan merekomendasikan teori penerapan TQM. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa PT. Igasar belum menerapkan TQM namun telah menerapkan Total Quality Control TQC, yang dalam hal ini TQC merupakan elemen dari TQM itu sendiri. Berdasarkan hasil analisis perhitungan statistik, dari segi informasi tentang produk diperoleh bahwa 30 % dari jumlah pelanggan mengetahui dan menggunakan produk ready mix concrete dari konsumen lain, 30 % mengetahui dari promosi dan 40% mengetahui sendiri. Dari segi jadwal pengiriman produk, 20 % dari pelanggan menyatakan tidak terlambat, 70% menyatakan kadang-kadang terlambat dan 10 % menyatakan sering terlambat, sedangkan dari segi pelayanan, 30 % dari pelanggan menyatakan sangat puas dengan tanggapan keluhan, 50 % menyatakan cukup puas dengan tanggapan keluhan dan 20 % menyatakan tidak puas dengan tanggapan keluhan. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk ready mix concrete dari dinilai memenuhi spesifikasi dan persyaratan yang ditetapkan oleh konsumen, namun dari segi pelaksanaan termasuk jadwal pengiriman dan pelayanan kurang memuaskan bagi konsumen.

Agar perusahaan dapat berkembang dan paling tidak bisa bertahan hidup, perusahaan tersebut harus mampu menghasilkan produk barang dan jasa dengan mutu yang lebih baik, harganya lebih murah, promosi lebih efektif, penyerahan barang ke konsumen lebih cepat, dan dengan pelayanan yang lebih baik apabila dibandingkan dengan para pesaingnya. Terlepas dari itu semua, untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk industri tersebut haruslah menawarkan mutu atau kualitas produk yang lebih baik dari pesaing-pesaingnya begitu juga dalam prosesnya. Total Quality Management TQM atau manajemen mutu terpadu merupakan salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan oleh pemasar terutama dalam industri bisnis yang melibatkan komitmen manajemen dan karyawan secara total dalam usaha mencapai mutu yang lebih tinggi yang merupakan bagian dari strategi pemasaran untuk mendapatkan kepuasan pelanggan dan keuntungan industri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan TQM di sebuah perusahaan. Baik dari segi manfaat yang diperoleh atau hambatan yang ditemui dalam penerapan TQM. Penelitian yang dilakukan penulis adalah di PT Citra Abadi Sejati yang berlokasi di Bogor. PT Citra Abadi Sejati adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang berfungsi sebagai produsen untuk produk pakaian yang produk utamanya adalah jaket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa PT Citra Abadi Sejati telah menerapkan TQM dengan cukup baik. Berdasarkan teori-teori yang dikemukakan oleh para ahli TQM, perusahaan tersebut mempunyai kriteria yang hampir sama dalam teori TQM. Kualitas, kepuasaan konsumen dan perbaikan yang berkesinambungan menjadi perhatian utama bagi perusahaan tersebut serta manajemen SDM yang berkualitas menjadi hal yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan produksi. Meskipun dalam penerapannya masih saja ada hambatan yang harus dihadapi. Hasil evaluasi dalam penelitian ini menunjukan masih banyak hal-hal yang harus dilakukan oleh PT Citra Abadi Sejati untuk menyempurnakan TQM seperti kurangnya komitmen manajemen puncak. Akan tetapi hambatan-hambatan yang ada akan selalu dicari solusinya demi terciptanya TQM. Dengan demikian penerapan TQM akan lebih terasa manfaatnya. TQM can be better implemented and effective if the organisation can arrange regular training facility and programs for them which will increase their performances and level of commitment by better configuring them with the objectives and aims of the organisation. 3 Methodology Research design The researcher will use the positivism philosophy for this research because this will enable the researcher to use structured methods which can make researcher able to use more scientific and established knowledge. The researcher will use the descriptive research design for this research because the analysis will be conducted by using the characteristics of the population. Therefore, the researcher will use only the established knowledge and theory rather not using any assumptions and hypothetical data or information for this research. The deductive research approach is the best approach for this research and the researcher will use this approach to conduct this research according to Sanders et al. 2007. Quantitative, qualitative data and information will be used as a research method for this research because the researcher wants to get measurable data and qualitative data for this research which will enable to the researcher to compare and interpret the findings. The primary data will be used which will be collected by using the primary data sources. The survey method will be used for this research to collect the primary data where the researcher will collect responses by using structured questionnaire from the selected respondents. on the other hand, the cross-sectional method will be used as there will be no repetition of the research in future on the same topic. Also researcher need some secondary data as well. Sampling and data collection This research will be prepared by collecting sample using the non-probability sampling method because it is not possible to give equal chance every member of the population to be selected as respondent. Besides, every member of the population is not qualified and informed enough to be an ideal respondent. So, the research will use the judgmental sampling method of non-probability sampling where the researcher will collect 20 respondents who are the employees of Samsung via face to face interview, personal emails and personal experiment in Samsung stores. Besides, the researcher will collect 15 employees and 5 managerial level employees to get the required information to conduct the research. The researcher will collect some secondary data from books such as PMBOK, blogs, journals, pervious research and case studies also online information about TQM system in Samsung company. Research ethics The researcher is fully determined to concur all the ethical values of this research where the researcher has aimed to not take any unfair means to conduct this research. Moreover, the researcher is not forcing anyone to be selected as respondent and will not disclose any of the information of the respondents to other parties. Therefore, the researcher will not distort any information and will not use the information on the respondents for any other purpose other than this research. 4 Research plan The research will conduct this research by collecting information from the respondents who will be collected according to the selected methods.
